Long time i-Say member and VIP panel participant Barbara Henry just won a brand new Mini Cooper from Ipsos Interactive Services and i-Say! The Brockville, Ontario, Canada native was ecstatic when she heard the news. “She couldn’t have been a nicer winner, or a more perfect panelist!” reports Lisa Landry, Incentives Manager for Ipsos i-Say, who took Barbara and her husband Gordon out for lunch to celebrate just before the big giveaway.

Brockville, Ontario: Barbara Henry didn’t even realize that she was in the running to win the Mini Cooper. The self-described hockey mom, with a life filled with volunteer work and the activities of her three teenage sons, just answered surveys because they kept her interested, and because she liked the feeling of having her opinion heard by various decision makers and groups.

After a much-deserved vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, Barbara returned home to an overflowing inbox – with over 200 emails, and found a surprising message from Ipsos i-Say. As it turned out, not only had her VIP status (which she earned by answering most of the surveys sent to her in the past year) automatically entered her into the draw to win the shiny red Mini Cooper — she had actually won!

"The icing on the cake"

Barbara and her husband Gordon met at work —Barbara is now a stay-at home mom to three-boys, aged 12, 14, and 17. Her youngest two play hockey competitively. Barbara participates in her sons’ hockey association, and is on the board for the daycare her kids used to attend. The Mini Cooper was certainly a hit with the family — her 17 year old son had his eye on it for when he gets his license later this year. However, due to the sheer size and volume of hockey sticks and equipment Barbara is constantly carrying in her trunk, the family has decided to trade in the Mini Cooper for the more practical 2008 Honda Odyssey.
